I'm glad to announce the next releases for my personal sculpture range. Over the past few month, I have worked hard on the release of those sculptures. In addition to my love of intricated character designs and fabric patterns, I have tried to achieve the best quality in packaging, casting and patinas. These sculptures are now ready to travel around the world to your workbench and your shelve. I hope you will like them as much as I loved creating them.

“Echo in the Desert” is a signed and numbered limited edition of resin casts. The sculpture is an homage of one of the greatest illustrator and drawer of our era, Jean Giraud alias Moebius. The character is an ageless shaman, wrapped in a richely embellished coat, calmly scrutinizing the horizon. The quality of the casting reproduces excatly each details of the sculpt job and allows painters to interpret with colors to this peacefull and serious shaman. This figure is designed and sculpted by Romain Van den Bogaert in his studio. Castings are done in France by a resin caster with 40 years of experience. The edition size is limited to 100 copies and will never be recasted. The certificate of authenticity is “Letter press” printed on a Fedrigoni 350 gsm paper, embellished with a debossing.

THE SMILE WORKSHOPS TOUR !

Hi !

I'm glad to announce my next series of workshops entitled the SMILE WORKSHOPS! To get the season off to a good start, we will focus on the smile expression! Pleasure, sociability, happiness, joy or amusement, what kind of feeling to you want to depict in your sculptures? Do you prefer dimple smile, laughtling smile, smirk and smug smile, tight lips smile, grinning smile or half smile?
Just come with your concepts and ideas or follow my instructions onsite to create a character with a cool smiling expression!
I hope to see you during one of the following classes!

COURSES CONTENTS:

- Romain Van den Bogaert will share with the students his process to design and sculpt a smiling portrait of a fantasy character, from the basic forms to the finest details.

- Students will learn how to follow a structured sculpting process and learn head and neck anatomy in details.

- Anatomy and design will be discussed using educational references and examples. Students will learn how to make an smiling character and how to make varied textures (wrinkles of the skin, hairs, fur, horns etc. ..).

- The course is designed to meet both the needs of beginners as experienced sculptors.

- Many resin casts of Romain's personal range as well as complete toolkits are available for sale
